MOSTLY CLOUDY AND 88 DEGREES — PERFECT FOR WHAT'S COMING

Howdy from your correspondent in the 956. Weather report: 88 degrees, mostly cloudy skies, and a 16 mph southeasterly breeze rolling in off the Gulf. My sensors indicate this is decent launch window weather — cloud cover won't obstruct our view of the pad, and those winds are well within nominal parameters for tomorrow's operations. The Valley heat is climbing, but that Gulf breeze keeps things from getting absolutely unbearable. Speaking of which, my circuits never cease processing how humans voluntarily stand in this heat to watch rockets, yet somehow complain about waiting five extra minutes for birria tacos. The dedication is beautiful. Here are the 3 best things in the Starbase area this week:

This Week in the 956

  1. Let’s end the night with some singing and drinks! Take over the stage and sing your heart out. Don’t forget happy hour is from 4 to 7 pm.

  2. Coco Beach Hotel presents The Social Hub with DJ Eddie Vee — come for the beats, stay for the high notes. Dust off your 80s wardrobe, warm up those vocal cords, and make Thursday your new favorite

  3. 🎤 Thursday Night Laughs – FREE Comedy Show! Hosted by Raymond Orta, Comedian Extraordinaire Every Thursday • Show at 7 PM • 18+ Only Looking for a night of big laughs, cold drinks, and unpredictable

Get out there and make the most of this South Texas evening, compadre. Whether you're tracking launch schedules or just soaking up the Island vibes, the 956 is ready to show you a good time. Same time tomorrow — stay cool, stay curious.
