See Starbase: Self-Guided Highway 4 Drive

SpaceX does not run public tours of the Starbase factory or launch pad, and there is no official visitor center. The good news: the best view is free and self-guided. When State Highway 4 (Boca Chica Boulevard) is open, you can drive from Brownsville right past the Starfactory, tank farm, and launch towers and stop along the public road to see Starship and Super Heavy hardware up close — the closest the public can legally get — then continue to Boca Chica Beach at the end of the road. Cameron County and the City of Starbase close the highway and beach during testing and launches, so always check road closures before you drive out. Weekends are often a good bet when there's no launch activity. For a paid experience, third-party operators on South Padre Island run launch-viewing boat charters, and Rocket Ranch offers land viewing packages — see our tours guide for the real options.
