The Island Life Festival

One unforgettable day celebrating handcrafted cheeseburgers, signature margaritas, live coastal music, and island life on South Padre Island. The festival’s main event is The Island’s Best Burger Cookoff, where restaurants, chefs, and backyard burger legends fire up the grills for the ultimate Cheeseburgers in Paradise showdown. Guests can meet the competing teams, sample their creations, and help crown the winners, with awards for Judges’ Choice: Best Cheeseburger and People’s Choice: Favorite Cheeseburger. Beyond the cookoff, the day brings together margaritas, live coastal music, and the laid-back island atmosphere South Padre Island is known for.
